American National Insurance Company is seeking candidates for the position of Supervisor in the Mail Department at our Processing Center (APC) in San Antonio , Texas.

This position is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the department including: maintaining an equitable manner of discipline with employees; inspecting and maintaining of the company vehicle to ensure the safety of the employees; writing and distributing manual changes; prioritizing work; forecasting manpower requirements; maintaining and accessing various computer databases; and, training employees regarding incoming and outgoing special mail, interoffice delivery, machine operations (Bowe Bell & Howell inserting machinery and various postal machines). Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of inserting work prior to mailing.

Qualifications for this position include: a minimum of 2 years mail room experience including supervisory experience; knowledge of Microsoft office products; the ability to work variable work schedules; be able to lift at least 60 lbs.; requires driving the company van; a clean driving record; and, a high school diploma or GED with some college preferred. Knowledge of U.S. Postal Service rules and regulations is required and knowledge of HIPPA rules is preferred.
